USHERING & WELCOME
WHY?
A warm welcome, a joyful smile, a handshake and even a hug. This is how everyone who comes to KCC is greeted as they come through our doors and is handed a bulletin. That’s why the Welcome and Ushering ministry plays such a vital role at our Sunday worship service. They are the first people everyone meets. Their responsibility is not just to usher members and visitors to their seats and answer or direct them to the right person with the answers, they are the people who, as we read in Romans 16:2, “welcome you in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints, and help in whatever you may need.”
WHEN?
There are about 12 people on the roster of the Welcome and Ushering team, working in pairs each Sunday. They also have the responsibility of passing the offering bags and communion bread and wine during worship service. It is a joy to see even the youths helping as younger and mature members serve together to ensure the smooth running of our worship service.. As we are exhorted in I Peter 4:10: 10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.
